Our ambulance driver training courses
St John Ambulance has run well-respected, nationally recognised ambulance driver training for our volunteers and ambulance staff for many years. All our trainers are highly-experienced professionals, guaranteeing a well-structured, informative and engaging learning experience. We are now expanding our ambulance driver training beyond our own St John people, to give everyone the opportunity to learn with us.

Flexible approach with expert instructors
To accommodate as many people as possible, we run courses across the country throughout the year. You can book a place as an individual learner or contact us to find out about group training for NHS Ambulance Trusts, private ambulance and patient transport providers.
Our training programme structure allows us to be as flexible as possible to fit your needs, preferred dates and locations. We often have spare spaces available, even at short notice. Simply contact us and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
For NHS ambulance trusts or private providers, we can work in partnership with your training team to provide you with additional capacity at peak times. Alternatively, we can teach smaller numbers of crew or individuals, fitting around their shifts.
Support at every step of the course
All our trainers are highly skilled specialist instructors, able to adapt their teaching style to meet each learner’s needs. We offer individual, end-to-end support to each learner; this might include extra help with portfolio work, getting the most out of the self-taught Guided Learning Hours, or assistance with arranging placements to practice your newly acquired skills. With us, your success is our success!
